Student Leadership Team

Our Sixth Form Leadership Team act as role models and ambassadors for the school, and work closely with the Principal and Head of Sixth Form. Student leadership roles are designed to give our students an opportunity to step up and take on additional responsibilities. They meet with the Head of Sixth Form to discuss implementations that can benefit the Sixth Form and the wider school.

We appoint a Head Boy and Girl from Year 12, who will be supported by a wider team of Student Leaders.  Students will go through a formal selection process, including completing an application form, contacting referees, and a final interview panel; this is an excellent addition to a students' personal statement.

Our current Head Boy and Girl, King and Summer, tell us a little bit about themselves below:

KING

I am currently studying Chemistry, Maths, and Physics, with the goal of pursuing Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering at university. My ambition is to become an aerospace engineer, driven by a passion for innovation and problem-solving in the field of aviation and space exploration.

I chose to become a Student Leader because I genuinely enjoy helping others and listening to their ideas on how to improve our school community. This role provides an invaluable opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Having been a part of Montsaye since Year 7, I feel a deep connection to the school and a strong desire to support younger students while giving back to the Montsaye community.

As Student Leader, I aim to strengthen and develop the current student leadership team, ensuring its impact is felt across the school. I also plan to actively promote our Sixth Form, encouraging more students to join and benefit from the opportunities it offers. Above all, I hope to inspire and motivate every student at Montsaye Academy to strive for excellence and make the most of their time here.

SUMMER

I am studying French, English Literature, and Psychology. After my A-Levels, I plan to pursue a degree in French and English Literature at university. Through this degree, I aim to enhance my communication skills while immersing myself in different cultures.

Iam committed to upholding high standards within our school community and highlighting the importance of a strong work ethic. I believe that there is a direct correlation between effort and success, and I strive to encourage students to see their own potential. I take pride in being someone people feel comfortable talking to and the person they can confidently approach for help. My goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in our school environment.

As student leader, ensuring that students understand the various pathways available to them after their education is a priority. Everyone should feel confident in their future.

King and Summer are supported on the Student Leadership Team by Oliver, Hussein, Maja, Heidi, Haroldas and Ernests.
